Dan Morris
Dan Morris is the Chief Operating Officer of Liberty Advanced Security LLC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Liberty Advanced Security is a Safety Equipment and Training Consulting firm that focuses on providing the best safety training and equipment to help their clients ensure their liberties through preparedness. Dan received his Master’s Degree in the Science of Management (MSM) from Cardinal Stritch University and he has over 25 years of law enforcement experience, including 20 years of service on a multi-jurisdictional Specialized Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team.
Dan has been a State of Wisconsin Law Enforcement certified instructor and for more than 20 years. His areas of interest include teaching Defense and Arrest Tactics, Firearms, Tactical Response, Advanced Bleed Control and Multi-Crisis Awareness and Safety. Besides these disciplines, Dan also is certified to instruct Taser, Crowd Control Tactics and is an Instructor with the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA).
As trends and trainings evolved, Dan continued to expand his horizons to better serve his community and his clients. After received additional instruction at Texas A&M Engineering Extension in the Department of Homeland Security Enhanced All Hazards Incident Management Unified Command and Basic EMS Concepts for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Events; and at Texas State ALERRT CRASE Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events Instructor course; and the National Tactical Officer’s Association (NTOA) courses on Supervision and Command, Dan developed several courses to help educate and safeguard businesses, schools and churches.
Dan has dedicated his life to protecting and educating those who refuse to be victimized. The same pillars he focused when he created Liberty Advanced Security; “ENGAGE. EMPOWER. MITIGATE.”, Dan believes that with training comes success.
Dave Young
Young is a weapons designer, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Chairman of the Policeone.com Advisory Board, a member of the Police Magazine advisory board and a Technical Advisory Board member for the Force Science Research Center. Young has been featured in national publications and magazines for his innovation and dedication to officer survival and personal safety and awareness and has been a spokesperson and consultant with CNN and Fox World News on officer survival and equipment safety. Young is also the founder and director of US Fighting Systems, responsible for the training and certifications of Grandmasters, Masters and instructors for martial arts schools around the country. Young is an active member of several professional organizations, not limited to International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA) and the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor (IALEFI).
Shannon Vick
Shannon Vick is one of our Self Defense instructors teaching Kickboxing and is a certified Street Smart Defender Instructor. Shannon is also Co-Founder of Street Survival Systems, LLC. Shannon developed Iron Fist Fitness, LLC in 2014 to help individuals transform from within. His philosophy is transforming the mind so you can transform the body. Shannon specializes in weight loss management, building lean muscle mass, core stability and self-defense training. He has trained UFC Fighter Anthony Pettis, D1 basketball stars from The Clemson Tigers Gabe Devoe as well as Kent State basketball player Jerrelle Dewberry as well as current UFC Fighters. Shannon is a Group Fitness Instructor as well, designing the “Kick Fit” program incorporating the 3 in 1 method which utilizes Interval, Cardio Kickboxing and Core Stability. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, art, listening to music & watching The Packers. Shannon studies a variety of Martial Arts, training in Muay Thai, Escrima & Jiu-Jitsu.
Derrick S. Washington Sr.
Derrick, retired in April of 2015 from his career as a Milwaukee County Deputy Sheriff, Lieutenant after 20 years of service (beginning in 1995). During his career he served as Deputy Sheriff, Sergeant, and Lieutenant., Derrick has spent seventeen of his 20-year career as either a part-time or full-time trainer. Training thousands of officers from various agencies. He is a Defensive tactics instructor for law enforcement and Corrections, Firearms Instructor, Professional Communication Skills, Ethics, Tactical Response and Vehicle Contact instructor. Derrick was the lead instructor for the Training Academy his last seven years. Derrick Spent 12 of his 20-year career as a SWAT officer.
Derrick is currently Master Instructor in Defense And Arrest Tactics, and Principles of Subject Control for the State of Wisconsin. Derrick sits on the Principle of Subject Control advisory committee for the Law Enforcement Standards Board for the state of Wisconsin. Derrick is a USCCA Certified Instructor, and a trainer for Vistelar. Derrick is considered a use of force expert, consulting on various Use of Force issues within his agency and testifying at personnel review board hearings. He is a graduate of the Force Science Institute.
Derrick participates in training outside of his field of expertise. He has coached high school basketball for 35 years and continues to mentor young men through sports. In 2017 he was inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. In 2018 he was inducted into Brown Deer High School Hall Of Fame as an assistant coach. He has taught CPR classes throughout the community. Derrick is a veteran of the United States Army.
Having been a trainer for much of my career, I provide the highest level of instruction to the people I train. I want them to leave my training with the confidence that they can use the skills taught to keep them and their family safe.
